The Calibrated Max
Most training programs ask for your 1RM. POWERBUILDING 365 doesn't. Your 1RM is a one-rep maximum pulled on your best day with everything right. It's a terrible number to program from because you can't repeat it week after week without burning out or stalling.
The Calibrated Max is different. It's your top set of three at RPE 8. A clean triple with two reps left in the tank. Reproducible. Programmable. The working number that governs every top set in the block.
Enter yours below. Weeks 1 and 2 of the Strength Block calculate instantly. Weeks 3 through 12, and all six blocks, are in the book.

Strength Block
12 WeeksForce development mesocycle. Calibrated Max system, weekly RPE-governed top sets, backoff volume, controlled peaking. Built for real neural adaptation.
Cyclic Massocycle
16, 20, or 24 WeeksMass accumulation with built-in reset windows. Four-week loading cycles separated by maintenance deloads. Extends the productive bulk window past where standard programs stall.
Hypertrophy Block
20 WeeksThree six-week training waves separated by deload weeks. Exercise variations shift between waves. MEV to MRV progression with RIR self-regulation.
Recomp Block

Deload Month
4 WeeksTerminal recovery protocol. Three sessions per week of near-complete stimulus removal followed by progressive restoration. Not optional. Not something to skip.
Who Built This
Chris Marzarella has spent his adult life in the coaching trenches. This system didn't come from a textbook. It came from decades of programming athletes, competing on stage, watching what works, and throwing out what doesn't.
